British Cultural Studies

In September 1999 twenty four secondary school teachers interested in teaching British culture were invited to join the British Cultural Studies project.

The participants, all willing and able to get involved in the production of good quality and up-to-date materials in this field, were trained in Lithuania in modern approaches to teaching cultural studies by Simon Gill.

Materials and a new syllabus consisting of about 60 hours of classroom work are the end products of this project. The materials, consisting of a Teacher’s Book and a Student’s Book entitled Kaleidoscope, were published in 2002 and are commercially available. For details check Sviesa Publishers' website.
