The Electric Postcard – well organised site with a very nice interface. Covers every aspect of writing from sentence to paragraph to essay level. Features an excellent and very comprehensive online grammar, quizzes and an enormous grammar clinic with archive questions from all over the world. Highly recommended.
Paradigm Online Writing Assistant – very extensive menu driven writing assistant with a wealth of information on different styles of writing. Probably only suitable for advanced learners.
Purdue Online Writing Lab Web Server Home Page – a whole range of tools and expert advice to help students improve their writing skills online. Includes a reference section with over 130 downloadable worksheets giving advice about all aspects of writing.
Writing DEN –- excellent site with graphics, sound and a wide variety of writing topics along with teachers notes, writing tips, word of the day.
