Software publishers
Addison Wesley Longman – access to AWL's various educational software houses including Longman, and Logotron.

Cambridge University Press – publisher's catalogue, nothing ELT specific.

Collins Cobuild – access to the Cobuild corpus plus a variety of lexical items including 'Wordwatch', 'Idiom of the Day' and 'The Definition Game'.

Macmillan Heinemann ELT – an extensive ELT catalogue and a large number of downloadable worksheets for Heinemann Guided Readers (needs Adobe Acrobat plug-in) and other book related tips and activities. (You must register to find and download worksheets).

Longman Dictionaries – extensive product information plus dictionary activities, kids games, 'Hot Word' and 'Idiom of the Week'. Also papers on lexicography.

Oxford University Press – ELT section with an extensive, well-organised catalogue and a very good EFL magazine called ELT Spectrum.

Q Group – product descriptions of their full range of language learning software.

Wida software – descriptions of the Wida Authoring suite of software.

Journals and magazines
ELT Spectrum – the online magazine from Oxford University Press (OUP) has some very nice features including a teacher profile, interviews with EFL writers and a collection of worksheets, articles, teachers' tips and various activities. Understandably rather OUP centric, but definitely worth a look.

Humanising Language Teaching – a promising new magazine from Pilgrims, edited by Mario Rinvolucri. The magazine carries interesting articles along the general theme of the humanistic movement in ELT as well as fixed features such as Student's Voice which gives a student's perspective on Pilgrims' courses. Very well produced, available every six weeks and free!

Internet TESL Journal (Japan) – an excellent online journal packed with articles, lesson plans, teaching ideas, online projects and a comprehensive set of links for ESL teachers. Archives going back to 1995 make this one of the largest and most active EFL sites on the Web.

its-magazine – a weekly online magazine complementing the its Magazine print version. There is a registration fee for full access to the magazine but the archives seem to be freely available. Lots of activities and projects based around articles from the magazines, along with teachers' notes. The topics are UK based and the quizzes require a good knowledge of British culture and current affairs. The site also contains a very busy e-pals section and some excellent links to music, movies and media on the web.

The Language Teacher Online – selected papers from JALT's monthly journal with an interesting and practical view on classroom teaching.

TESL-EJ – fully online, refereed academic journal for ESL, appearing quarterly. Mirrored at various universities. Useful reviews, but not so many articles.
