Inclusive design is a regional project of the British Council with five participating countires: Bosna and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia and the UK. The project is dedicated to the skills development of young people with disability in the area od design and handicrafts.
Partners of the British Council in this project are the Association of Young People with Disability of Montenegro (UMHCG), The University of Montenegro, The Faculty of Fine Arts Cetinje and Delta City Shopping Mall. We have engaged the renowned Montenegrin artists and university lecturers in this project: Nataša Đurović, Ana Matić, Igor Rakčević and Lazar Pejović.
The aim of the project is to improve and develop skills and creativity as well as economic empowerment of young people with disability, raising public awareness of the need for a greater inclusion of pwd into economic, social, educational and cultural processes and bringing the attention of institutions to the necessary measures for their easier integration.
Activities include mapping, public campaign, workshops and a course in desktop publishing.
