Following on from our research survey with our customers and members, we changed the focus of our collection of resources with the most modern, sophisticated, hi-tech resources, to reflect the latest learning and language-development techniques for English language skills and our examination suites.
What is the Study Support Centre (SSC)?
We are refocusing our library so it's becoming known as Study Support Centre (SSC)
SSC it is the place where you can find the adequate services, resources and materials to improve your English learning and teaching skills, your management skills, as well as experience and aiming to fully satisfy your expectations in English language and learning and gaining professional qualifications.
The re-focusing of our library will ensure the collection has resources to develop English language skills and help our students and customers to prepare for the variety of examinations suites we offer.
Why did the British Council decided to change its library?
Re-focusing our resources collection is a decision taken as a result of a research survey we conducted with customers and students. We are focussing our resources on English and examinations suites, and this has a greater impact on more people from all over Jordan who wish to improve their language skills and professional qualifications. Usage of our general resources is at a very low rate because Jordanians now have ready access to a much wider range of resources such as online access.
Who can benifits from this?
In order to use our materials and resources, you need to join our SSC to be able to borrow up to six items at one time for two weeks. Joining is easy.
