Marketing Communication Officer - JORDAN

We are looking for a Marketing Communication officer to support Marketing and communication work in British Council in the effective delivery of external and internal communications, brand management and media generation and monitoring.  Moreover the post holder will to support the operational aspects, delivery and financial management of British Council Services for International Marketing services in the Jordan. To do this through supporting the delivery of client and partnership funded activities with the aim of:

  • positioning the UK as a leader in international education
  • contributing to the growth of UK  education both in the UK and in the Jordan
  • building strategic partnerships in the UK and in the Jordan

Basic salary starts at JOD 550, plus 2 months bonus salary, Provident Fund, medical insurance and Social Security

Deputy Director Jordan - Jordan
Closing Date : 31 May 2012

The post holder’s main responsibilities will be to line manage 4 staff directly and an additional 12 indirectly; to be accountable for all programme expenditure and all partnership income targets; accountable for scorecard reach and quality targets; accountable for Customer Service mystery-shopping targets. Accountable for a budget of GBP 530K and income target of GBP260K.

Main duties include all aspects of planning, providing management oversight of all the programme portfolio and monitoring of financial and programme performance. Working with Assistant Director Business Development to manage pipeline of partnership opportunities, to agree pursuit strategies. Monitoring of Customer Service performance indicators. Ensuring team effectiveness. The Deputy Director will be a member of the Strategy team and will deputise in the Country Director’s absence.

Our salary starts at 2,100 JD, plus 2 months bonus salary, Provident Fund, medical insurance and Social Security
