Late registration fee – CZK 700.

Very late registration fee – CZK 1400.

Prices valid until 31.8.2012

We can only accept limited numbers of applications during the late and very late registration due to restricted capacity. If you are going for late or very late entry, please check first with your registration point whether there are still free places. We are able to settle very late registrations individually. Please register unsuitable dates for the speaking part in the registration period. Later requests will be considered only for serious reasons.

HOW TO REGISTER

INDIVIDUALS

On-line registration (Prague, Brno). You don't need to login to the system.
Paper application – if you register to another centre please download the paper application form here. Please read the registration conditions.

INSTITUTIONS

For institutions, schools and firms we offer the possibility of block registration. We communicate with an institution acting as a representative of candidates and inform the institution about all the dates, prices and examination dates. The institution covers all fees in one lump sum.

HOW TO PAY

British Council offers several methods of payment. You are free to choose the one which is most convenient for you. Attach the copy of the document confirming payment (bank document or a postal money order slip) to the filled-in application form and deliver both documents in person or by mail to one of the registration places. If you carry out registration online, you should deliver the document confirming payment in person, by mail or by e-mail to ies.payments@britishcouncil.cz.

Payment by bank transfer – if you use this type of payment method, please state the following information:

  • Account holder’s name: British Council, Bredovský dvůr, Politických vězňů 13, 110 00 Praha 1
  • Recipient’s account number: 2048040318/2600
  • Variable code: according to the centre where you want to take the exam (Prague 9001, Pardubice 9012, Plzeň 9008, Brno 9007, Ostrava 9011, Olomouc 9006, Liberec 9013, Ústí nad Labem 9013, Zlín 9014, Žďár 9009, České Budějovice 9009, Hradec Králové 9012, Sokolov 9015)
  • Specific code: state your date of birth in the ‘ddmmyyyy’ format
  • In the textbox write candidate’s name and name of the exam.

If you deposit a cash amount to our bank account, the name of the candidate and the variable code of the relevant centre (refer above to payment by bank transfer) must be stated on the bank’s certificate on the payment in cash.

Payment in cash – this method of payment is possible in the British Council offices in Prague and Brno.
Payment by a credit card – this method of payment is possible in the British Council offices in Prague and Brno.
Payment by postal money order – you can get pre-filled-in postal money orders upon request at the centre where you register for the exam. Please state your date of birth in the ‘ddmmyyyy’ format as the specific code. Check whether your specific code is also properly filled-in on the postal money order slip, too. Keep this slip in a safe place.

REGISTRATION CONDITIONS SUMMER 2012

1 Valid registration – the registration is considered valid only after submitting a completed and signed Application Form as well as a copy of the proof of payment within the registration period. The payment must reach our account no later than the last day of the registration period therefore it is necessary to make your payment at least 3  working days in advance.
2 Late registration – the capacity of the examinations is limited. In case of late registration please contact the relevant centre.
3 Dates of examinations – the dates of the written parts are set by the University of Cambridge ESOL and cannot be changed. Speaking dates are set locally.
4 Statement of the registration –  you will receive a statement of registration for KET, PET, KET/PET/FCE f. schools by 4.5.2012; for FCE (exam date 9.6. and 12.6.), CAE, CPE, BEC by 4.5.2012; for FCE (exam date 19.5.) by 17.4 2012. and for ILEC, ICFE by 13.4.2012. If you do not receive the statement within the set period please contact the registration centre immediately.
5 Examination timetable – you will receive a full examination timetable for KET, PET, BEC by 11.5.2012; for FCE (exam date 9.6. and 12.6.), CAE, CPE by 18.5.2012; for FCE (exam date 19.5.) by 1.5. 2012 and for  ILEC, ICFE by 3.5.2012. If you do not receive the examination timetable within the set period please contact the registration centre immediately.
6 Entry form liability – an entry form is a legally binding document. It is impossible to cancel the examination, change the examination levels or dates.
7 50% refund of the examination – a candidate is entitled to a 50% refund if he/she is unable to sit the written part of the exam due to illness. The medical statement together with the application form must be presented no later than seven days after the date of the examination. Late requests or requests without the medical statement shall not be taken into consideration.
8 100% refund of the examination – a candidate is entitled to a 100% refund if he/she cancels the registration before the end of the regular registration period.
9 Withdrawal or failure of the examination – a candidate is not entitled to a refund in case of failure or withdrawal from the exam.
10 Special needs for the examination – in case of any special arrangements please contact the registration centre before the end of the registration period. All applications must be supported by a medical certificate from a specialist.
11 Organization of the examination – The British Council will undertake to organise an examination in a given town if there is a sufficient number of registered candidates.
12 Materials of the examinations – all exam materials are sent to Cambridge ESOL in the UK after the exam session. All parts of the exam remain the property of Cambridge ESOL and will not be released to candidates.
13 For CAE candidates only: a photo will be taken of all CAE candidates on the day of the test and held on the secure Cambridge ESOL Results Verification site. The personal data will only be used for internal purposes of the British Council and for registration with the University of Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
14 Disclaimer - The British Council and the examining boards take all reasonable steps to provide continuity of service. We feel sure you will understand, however, that we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control. If examinations or their results are disrupted, cancelled or delayed, every effort will be made to resume normal service as soon as possible. The British Council’s liability will be limited to the refund of the registration fee or retesting at a later date.

REFUND OF EXAMINATION FEE

Examinations fees cannot be reimbursed after the end of registration period.
Examination fee is 100% refundable before the end of the regular registration period. You can download the 100% Refund Application form by clicking on the pink link above.
Examinations fees cannot be transferred from one type of exam to another.
Examinations fees cannot be transferred to a later date (e.g. the next exam session).
Candidates absent from the written parts of their examination for health reasons, are entitled to a 50% refund of the examination fee (the 50% refund applies only to the basic examination fee). A medical certificate together with the 50% Refund Application for Cambridge Exams (you can download it by clicking on the pink link above) should be submitted to the centre, which registered the candidate, no longer than 7 working days after the written examination.
Candidates absent from their test for other than health reasons will not be granted a refund.
Examinations fees will not be refunded in case of failure.
