WHAT is Global Changemakers?
Global Changemakers is a British Council funded global youth network of social entrepreneurs and community activists from 121 countries worldwide. Its mission is to empower youth to catalyse positive social change, something which it achieves through:
There are currently over 700 Changemakers, more than 200,000 young people involved in Global Changemakers activities each year, and 3.2 million beneficiaries of GCM projects. Check out www.global-changemakers.net for more info on the programme.
HOW do I apply?
Between 30 January and 19 February, go to www.global-changemakers.net. You’ll see full instructions on the site. The application consists of a written form and a 2 minute YouTube video which should address your track record in your community and how you plan to contribute to the wider network if selected.
WHAT is the format and timing for the event? WHO pays?
The event will take place in June in Brussels and will consist of five full days of training, workshops and capacity building with parliamentarians, experts and facilitators, as well as visits to organizations in Brussels. Global Changemakers will cover costs for airfare, accommodation, and meals for all participants.
