Business enterprises and organisations participated in the Languages Ambassador of the Year competition throughout the summer by completing a questionnaire. 26 enterprises entered their applications and six were selected by a judging panel to be nominated. The competition was organised in partnership with the Education Exchanges Support Foundation.
The aim of the competition was to identify and promote a business enterprise that demonstrates good policy of language learning and usage. The winning enterprise was awarded the certificate of the Languages Ambassador of Year 2011 by the European Commission, signed by the Minister of Education and Science, and the membership for a year by the British Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania.
The Awards also celebrated the European Day of Languages and were held at the Institute of the Lithuanian Language on September 23. For the programme of the awards ceremony, go here.
