Schools Online- International School Partnership

Developing Global Citizens

Home > UK Education > Schools Online > What we do?

Schools Online builds lasting partnerships between schools in Japan and others around the world. Through these partnerships, the programme develops trust and understanding between young people in different societies, creating a safer and more connected world for the future.

In addition to global citizenship, the creation of school partnerships supports a number of educational priorities and policy initiatives in ministries of Education in Japan and around the world, including the development of ICT across curricula and the improvement of foreign language education, especially in the area of English language.

School partnerships also provide opportunities for teachers to deepen their cultural awareness, share effective practices and develop creative approaches to their teaching, which help them  broaden the view of their students and prepare them for engaging with the outside world.

Schools Online website provides advice on how to set up a successful link, information and resources for teachers and students, case studies and reports on current links, teaching ideas and registration for school partners.
