Rethinking the City
Following quickly on the heels of BC’s successful Climate Change exhibition, NSEW, last November, BC Ireland renewed its acquaintance with the Cultivate Centre when we co-hosted a full day conference on Rethinking the City on 22 June 2006. People from a variety of backgrounds shared experience and opinions on implementing sustainable development initiatives for the cities of tomorrow.

Superstrings

Brian Foster is professor of Experimental Physics at Oxford. He is also an accomplished violinist. Jack Liebeck is a young solo violinist from the UK with a long list of credits and performances to his name. He is also keen on all kinds of scientific invention. If you add Einstein to the mix you begin to see how Superstrings evolved.

In partnership with the RDS, the University of Limerick and the Institute of Physics in Ireland, and as part of Science Week, we are delighted to welcome Superstrings to Ireland. Find out more.
