Next Door Neighbours is a programme of UK arts presented across seven Irish Festivals during the summer of 2012 in parallel with the London 2012 Olympic Games and Cultural Olympiad. It is a partnership programme run by the British Council and The Arts Council/ An Chomhairle Ealaion in association with the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, with support from Failte Ireland and Tourism Ireland.
Man jumping in the airBritish Council and The Lir, Ireland's new National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College are pleased to announce a new programming strand - 'The Lir Presents...'. British Council Ireland will work with The Lir on a series of performances, events and masterclasses by leading contemporary UK artists over the next three years. Conceived in the context of the degrees and courses offered at The Lir and building on its existing partnership with RADA, this series will feature performances and public discussions by some of the world's leading theatrical innovators. Visiting artists will also lead masterclasses with Lir students and engage in other industry and public facing events.

The weekly programme covers all styles of contemporary music - indie, grime, dubstep, folk, soul, electro and everything else in between. Each show also features artist interviews and exclusive studio sessions from some of the most exciting artists in the UK.
Each week's show is available to stream via www.selector-radio.com together with podcasts, videos and an archive of classic sessions.
