Professional Development Opportunity for Cultural Managers

With the funding support from the Home Affairs Bureau, the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is partnering with the British Council to provide a 12-week internship for cultural managers and curators with great potential at the prestigious Whitechapel Gallery in the UK.

Two internship places will be open to outstanding and talented local candidates with leadership potential. The two successful candidates will sit within the Exhibitions department of the Whitechapel Gallery to assist the Curator & Head of MA Curatorial Studies with a number of projects for 12 weeks on a full-time basis from September 2011 to December 2011 or January 2012 to March 2012 respectively.

A bursary of £9500 will be provided to each successful candidate for covering the cost of a return air ticket, accommodation, transportation and an allowance for living expenses during the period. More information about the programme and application details is available here. For enquiries, please contact Ms. Ng of the HKADC at 2820 1027.
