FameLab Competition 2011 Grand Final – Monday 21 March
Our talent Show ... for scientists!
Last year our very own Vasilis Grigoriadis, the winner of our FameLab Greece Competition, went on to win FameLab International 2010!
Join us at this spectacular event and help decide the winner of the Audience Award by voting for your favourite 'FameLabber'!
THE FINALISTS
The finalists chosen at the qualifying rounds that took place in Athens and Thessaloniki, equipped with new presentation and science communication skills gained at a Masterclass, will make a presentation of up to three minutes on a contemporary science topic of their choice and prove ... that science is truly magic!

THE PRIZES
The competition is being held in the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Libya, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland and Britain. The winner of each country final will win an all-expenses paid trip to the UK, where he/she will compete in FameLab International 2011, which is taking place as part of the Cheltenham Science Festival between 7 and 12 June 2011.
OTHER PRIZES
1st Prize: laptop; 2nd Prize: video camera; 3rd Prize: MP4 player.
AUDIENCE AWARD
At the Grand final the audience can vote for their favourite finalist!
There will also be new opportunities for the other participants in the final, who will all have the chance to take part in a series of workshops and scientific debates that will follow through an active communication network of scientists which has been created.
