YOUNG LEARNERS TESTS – STARTERS, MOVERS AND FLYERS
The Cambridge ESOL Young Learners Tests have been specially developed to assess the English of children aged 7 to 12. They help develop English and reinforce language learning through a series of carefully chosen tasks, and represent a first step towards the main suite of Cambridge ESOL exams. The tests are at three levels:
STARTERS
Starters is the lowest level and is designed for children from the age of 7.
MOVERS
Movers is the second level and a typical candidate is likely to be aged between 8 and 11.
FLYERS
Flyers is the third level and a typical candidate is likely to be aged between 9 and 12.

FIRST CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH (FCE)
The Cambridge ESOL First Certificate in English (FCE) is an upper-intermediate level exam and assesses your ability to use English for a variety of everyday purposes including work and study.
More than 270,000 people take FCE every year and it is useful preparation for higher level exams such as the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).
CERTIFICATE IN ADVANCED ENGLISH (CAE)
The Cambridge ESOL Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) is an advanced level qualification for people who want to use English for professional or study purposes.
It assesses how effectively and confidently you communicate in English in a range of situations including social, professional and educational contexts.
More than 60,000 people take CAE every year and it is recognised by universities in Britain and other countries. It is also useful preparation for the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).
CERTIFICATE OF PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH (CPE)
The Cambridge ESOL Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) is the highest level of the Cambridge ESOL exams and is for learners who have reached a standard of English close to that of an educated native speaker of English.
It assesses your ability to function effectively and confidently in almost any English-speaking context.
More than 45,000 people take CPE every year and it is recognised by universities in Britain and other countries as proof of the language ability needed to study in English at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
