INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM
We join forces with the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network and invite you to a particularly interesting symposium on ancient drama.
The symposium is aimed at teachers, artists, theatre experts, students of theatre and education, and anyone interested in ancient Greek drama and education.
The aim of the Symposium is to accommodate and foster dialogue concerning contemporary research and professional practice related to ancient drama and education (formal and non-formal) offering a series of lectures, discussions, practical workshops, film screenings, post-symposium master classes and a puppet exhibition by the “20th century puppeteer” Michael Meschke, as well as presentations by theorists and artists from Greece and around the world.
A number of prominent figures from the British academic and theatre community including professors David Wiles and Helen Nicholson of the Royal Holloway and professor Lorna Hardwick of the The Open University are taking part in the Symposium.
Symposium languages: Greek & English (with simultaneous translation).
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
