Welcome to the British Council Greece's latest edition of Talking English - our bi-monthly newsletter for English language teachers.
Our aim is to help you keep up to date with global ELT news and local events organised by the British Council. Find links to useful websites and articles, online teaching resources, and details of events and training opportunities in Greece.

There are many celebrations for the bicentenary of Dickens' birth this year. On

Our new series on the big issues in ELT begins with a paper on Global Practices in Teaching English to Young Learners. You can
download this paper for free to read about the research and five key recommendations for future action to support teaching English to young learners.
Our special tools for teachers are now all available in one place on
