Into the Little Hill

A lyrical tale at the Festival d'Automne

You missed it

Composer George Benjamin and author Martin Crimp have created a new lyrical tale for two voices and a musical ensemble commissioned by the Festival d'Automne.

An old tale has been transformed into a piece of lyrical drama.
'Just before an election in the room of his sleeping child, a statesman makes a pact with a bizarre stranger. Once re-elected to power he does not honour his promise: all concerned suffer the consequences'.

With Anu Komski, soprano, Hilary Summers, contralto and the Ensemble Modern.
