You missed it

NIGEL CHARNOCK - 'FRANK' (performance)

A solo performance created by Nigel Charnock . This one man show is a violently comic mixture of monologue and improvised song and dance. “Frank” attacks the most taboo issues of life: sex, family and death……

Nigel Charnock was born in Manchester and founded the famous DV8 Physical Theatre with Lloyd Newson in 1986. Director and author of a number of theatre plays, choreographer of TV productions,  films and concerts, the artist’s talent and diversity is recognised at an international level.  The best known of his one man shows are: 'Human Being', 'The Room', 'Fever'.

ROSEMARY BUTCHER - 'WOMAN AND MEMORY' (dance)

Rosemary Butcher’s work encompasses conceptual art and the use of space. This piece follows her exploration of the relation between dance and the moving image through a combination of performances, films and installations. The successive passing from one form to another, video and live performance, give rise to the notions of travel and movement thus returning to the question of time and out of time which are at the centre of her preoccupations.

For some thirty years, Rosemary Butcher has challenged the conventional base of dance. Through the use of conceptual art, movement and space her choreographic expression is a very singular one.
