Education UK exhibition Mexico

10 to 14 March 2007

An Download PDF Document event report (612KB)   [Education UK Partnership password required] is available.

Two major innovations have been implemented for the 2007 Education UK Exhibition in Mexico. For the first time in eight years, the exhibition in Mexico City will take place at the Camino Real Hotel. This change of venue will help us to reinforce the refreshed look of the Education UK brand as well as help us to attract more self-funded students due to the quality and appeal of the venue. The venue itself will be more comfortable for our exhibitors, and by having the exhibition in the same building where they will be staying, it will avoid unnecessary bus transportation traffic and delays.

The second innovation is that this year we will provide institutions and prospective students the opportunity to take part in one-to-one interviews. This will allow for an additional day devoted exclusively to providing quality educational counselling. Students will be able to book 25 minute appointments with institutions through an on-line booking system.

Aims
In addition to the generic aims of all Education UK Exhibitions, the aims of this event are to:

  • set up a space for UK institutions after the event, so they can provide personalized attention to those attendants identified as serious prospects for studying at their premises;
  • take advantage of the market niches created by the current increase of fees at Mexican Private Institutions at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in order to attract self funded students to the UK;
  • promote Split PhDs and Joint degree agreements between British and Mexican Institutions as a positive option, in order attract more Mexican students to the UK through a diversified scope of programmes and degrees.
