Strengthening human rights and governance

If you are a researcher, public sector worker, or you're interested in exploring social development, we can offer you information on the latest issues and opportunities. Plus, we can help you to network with others.

Governance and Society

We work in partnership with both government and civil society to advance debate, knowledge and skills in the areas of governance, human rights and social inclusion. We do this through a range of activities, including exhibitions, networks, projects, initiatives and events.

Gender and development

Under the heading "Gender and development", the British Council aims to work on issues that promote the empowerment of women and gender equality in Ethiopia. Find out more
