Education UK exhibitions are held all over the world by British Council offices. They are big events.
The ultimate goal of the exhibition in Taiwan is to promote UK education, as well as the UK in general; it is our biggest UK promotional event in Taiwan.
The target market for this event is students, high-flying professionals, aged between 19 and 35, with great career prospects and interest in hi-tec. They are considering studying in the UK and the exhibition is also aimed at student influencers, such as parents and career advisers, local education providers and local companies and educational agents.
We run an active advertising campaign to attract our target audiences to visit the different exhibition venues around Taiwan. In 2003 we are expecting about 20,000 visitors to the Taipei exhibition and 3,500 to the Kaohsiung and Taichung exhibitions respectively.
In Taiwan we make the most of our audiences through planning other events around the exhibition. In October 2002, our virtual business competition (The Business Game) attracted considerable attention from the public, and generated significant media coverage.
In October 2002, Education UK exhibition in Taiwan was sponsored by GoFederal Travel, Oxford University Press, STA Travel, KLM, DHL International, CSU publishing Ltd, Yu Wei Technology, Hewlett Packard, @Phone Evermore Technology Co. Ltd.
