The British Council's education and society work addresses inequality and poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa by sharing access to international best practice, knowledge and innovation, and by providing access to skills and professional development.  Within education, we focus on schools and tertiary education, within society on strengthening the role of civil society and strengthening the rule of law and access to justice.
