Youth Citizenship and Participation

Citizenship Education Programme

Our purpose is to work with educators and young people in Egypt and the UK to promote engaged, informed, critical and democratic citizens, in the context of governments’ plans for active citizenship.   

DREAMS AND TEAMS

Dreams + Teams is a British Council youth leadership international programme aimed at developing Young Leaders through sport. it challenges hundreds of local young people.   

Global Xchange

Global Xchange is an international volunteer exchange programme for young people aged 18 – 25 years. A team of 18 volunteers work in a community in Egypt for three months and then in a UK community for three months.  The programme is a partnership between Voluntary Services Overseas and the British Council in the UK and Youth Association for Population and Development in Egypt.   

Premier Skills for Egyptian youth

‘I feel I am so lucky to have been given this opportunity at this early age, 17 years old, I can do a lot with the knowledge I gained…I intend to pass on this knowledge to other people to benefit as I have done....' Find out more about this unique project.
