REQUIREMENTS
THE PROGRAMME
Global Changemakers is a global youth network that exists to share ideas and best practices by enabling activists to work individually and together on grassroots projects. Global Changemakers learn skills to further the impact of their work, can receive grant funding from the British Council, and are selected to participate in high-level political and economic events, to act as advocates and to raise decision-makers’ awareness of key issues on the global agenda.
"After the Youth Summit, I became a social entrepreneur, a leader in national and international projects. My vision of the world widened, and I acquired tools for advancing in my social activism and generate change" - says Italo Ribeiro, Brazilian Global Changemaker, who attended the 2009 Youth Summit in London and was invited by the British Council to report its findings at the residence of the Prime Minister of Great Britain at the time, Gordon Brown.
