ACCA Qualification is composed of 14 exams, which are divided into two levels as follows:
FUNDAMENTALS (9 exams in total)Knowledge
F1 Accountant in Business (AB)Skills
F4 Corporate and Business Law (CL)Essentials
P1 Professional Accountant (PA)Options (two to be completed)
P4 Advanced Financial Management (AFM)Passing the exams is a huge achievement. But it's only half the story. You will also need to gain three years' practical experience before, during or after your studies to achieve membership and use the "ACCA" letters after your name.
The first step is to register with ACCA as a student. This can be done online at http://www.accaglobal.com/join/register/.
Initial registration costs GBP 77; annual fee for 2012 is GBP 77. There are no closing dates. Initial registration can be done at any time. You can register for exams only after initial registration is complete.
A maximum number of 9 exemptions can be claimed. This will depend on how closely your previous qualifications match the content of the ACCA syllabus.
