This project is financed by the UK Government and implement by the British Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
ProAccession project aims to strengthen the capacities of key government officials from the Ministry of Defence BiH and the Ministry of Security BiH along with its agencies, namely people who actively use the English language in their everyday work. This project is meant for those who feel the need to improve the techniques and skills of successful communicating in the process of EU and NATO integration.
Our key project implementation partners are Ministry of Defence BiH, Ministry of Security BiH and its agencies, as well as the Civil Service Agency BiH. The programme is officially accredited by the national Civil Service Agency. Content and face-to-face training is prepared and delivered by the British Council experts based on the material developed by the British Council Centre in Brussels.
ProAccession programme is developed according to the needs identified with partner institutions and adapted especially to the professional context of participating Ministries and includes:Training of employees
Non-intensive training for up to 100 civil servants within Ministry of Security and Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina who effectively use the English language in the professional environment and who need to develop and upgrade specific soft skills which will contribute to more effective functioning in the international context.Training of trainers
Combination of non-intensive and intensive training of up to 10 trainers who effectively use the English language and who have the need to develop skills of transferring knowledge of effective communication and functioning in the international context. To ensure sustainability, local trainers will be able to continue independently delivering training sessions in the covered skills within their institutions as well as across the public sector.Activities and skills addressed
