The Royal Society awards the Winston Prize for popular science writing and the young people's Book Prize for books that best communicates science to young people.

Wellcome Trust Book Prize

The Wellcome Trust Book Prize celebrates the best of medicine in literature by awarding £25,000 each year for the finest fiction or non-fiction book centred around medicine.

Dingle Prize

The British Society for the Hisotry of Science awards the Dingle Prize every two years to “the best book in the history of science (broadly construed) published in English … which is accessible to a wide audience of non-specialists.”

BSLS Book Prize

The British Society for Literature and Science book prize is awarded for the best book in the field of literature and science published each year.

New Scientist Books

The New Scientist reviews science books every week and you can find out which books they think are worth a read!

Books are a great way to communicate science to the everyday reader, especially since you can learn about science without having to open up a textbook.
