ARTISTIC POLICY
Yara El-Sherbini’s playful, multi-disciplinary art practice uses humour and popular culture to explore art and life. El-Sherbini uses popular formats such as game boards, pub quizzes and game shows to make works that playfully disarm viewers and the participants, engaging them with the socio-political ideas at the heart of her work.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
A game show that playfully explores art and life in the presence of a live audience, involving the participation of two teams recruited by the presenting venue. Commissioned by Chelsea Theatre. (60 mins, no interval, 9 on stage, 12 on the road.)
WRAP-AROUND
Yara is able to lead and take part in post-performance discussions/seminars/lectures on politically engaged work, humour, and popular culture. She is also able to lead longer residencies to develop context-specific work. Age range for activity can be anything from 16–60.
