ARTISTIC POLICY
Theatre Royal believes in the ability of theatre to achieve radical change, to shape and to reflect the hopes and dreams of individuals and communities. It accordingly works to discover and develop new talent and new audiences, particularly amongst people who are often excluded from access to theatre.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
A new musical written by and starring Ray Davies, former front man of The Kinks. A heartwarming tale of teenage romance set against a 1950s Palais ballroom. (1 hour 58 mins, one interval, 13 on stage plus 4 musicians, 21 on the road.)

Raising Lazarus, My Father and Other Superheroes and Over the Dune Fusing theatre and spoken word, three of the UK’s leading spoken word artists present new shows: World Slam Champion Kat Francois; emerging artist Nick Makoha; and poetry veteran Roger Robinson. (Each piece approx 1 hour, 1–2 on stage, 2–3 on the road.)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
By Nona Shepphard. Theatre Royal Stratford East in a co-production with Graeae Theatre Company. Features captioned dialogue and signed song.

WRAP-AROUND
Ballroom dancing workshops can accompany the production, from which a team of community dancers may be invited to dance on stage before and in the interval of performances.
