ARTISTIC POLICY
The Arches stages new work, physical and visual theatre, site-specific work, text, and live art – in a style that is immediate, raw, provocative, and courageous. We aim to use the unique atmospherics of our building, making work that responds to our cavernous caves and dark recesses. At the heart of the Arches is our support for artists at the early stages in their careers, rewarding bold approaches and the exploration of new theatrical languages with a nurturing environment to discover further innovation.
REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘It’s joyous, life-affirming stuff.’ ***** The List ()
‘Hilariously funny, charged with raw honesty and serious intent, and graced with generosity of spirit.’ ***** The Herald ()
‘Here is where Drummond’s magic lies. His conjuring skills are genuine and very impressive but his ability to make a profound philosophical meditation into a hugely entertaining magic show is cleverer still because it is so subtly done.’ **** The Herald ()
