CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Tavaziva Dance’s seven high-octane dancers return in spring 2010 with a fierce new show entitled captures the beauty and elegance of one of Africa’s most endangered species, while delving deep into the unknown and articulation of the beast. Tavaziva implores audiences to join the dramatic dancers as their bodies pulsate and vibrate against the mind-blowing soundtrack cut and arranged by award-winning Zimbabwean-born choreographer and composer Bawren Tavaziva. (80 mins including a 15 min interval, 7 on stage, 10 on the road.)

Three different pieces by Zimbabwean-born choreographer/composer Bawren Tavaziva and his company of seven contemporary dancers. Sinful Intimacies is a sensual duet exploring African unease with same-sex love, and a major group work draws on Bawren’s personal experiences of growing up in Zimbabwe under the leadership of Robert Mugabe. (80 mins including a 15 min interval, 5–7 on stage, 8–10 on the road.)
