ARTISTIC POLICY
Tangram is a repertory company creating exciting multinational theatre for national and international touring. The goal is to engage and activate audiences with interdisciplinary performances of universal themes. The method is to put real people with real stories at the heart of the creative process. The company stands by the idea that less is more.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
From William Tell to the Big Apple, from Newton to Snow White, Crunch! combines apples, original songs and physical theatre (Total Theatre Award nominated), to create a pom-rom-com that ends apple-y ever after! (70 mins, 4 on stage, 5 on the road.)

or the Survival of (R)Evolutionary Theories in the Face of Scientific and Ecclesiastical Objections: Being a musical comedy about Charles Darwin (1809–1882) A one-man show combining physical theatre, juggling spiders and six songs about barnacles, the voyage of the Beagle and the perils of marrying your cousin! For monkeys of all ages. (60 mins, 1 on stage, 2 on the road.)

Nine-year-old Rachel is on a quest to reach double figures! With an incredible solo performance at its centre, Almost 10 is a moving piece about the ups and downs of childhood. (60 mins, 1 on stage, 2 on the road.)

An EGGsistential quest! The sequel to Crunch!, Splat! will tell the story of the egg, while exploring the major philosophers’ grasp on why we’re actually here. It’s sure to be egg-shell-ent!

WRAP-AROUND
The company runs a number of different workshops for performers, including ensemble theatre practice, clowning and exploring a physical approach to text-based theatre. We welcome and cater for participants of all backgrounds and experience. As an internationally minded company, we are always interested in developing relationships with audiences/artists from around the globe. Our current work relationships include companies in Argentina, India, Italy and France. The company is also available for talks, post-show discussions and longer residencies.
