ARTISTIC POLICY
Shobana Jeyasingh has created a unique hybrid dance language that imagines what the body of the future might be. The choreography is precise and intricate. It is delivered with visceral power by an international cast of dancers and presented with strong designs and commissioned music. Jeyasingh’s work is about the way that we live today. It reflects a society in which complex urban identities, blurring traditional boundaries and rapidly changing technology, are dominant themes in everyday lives.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Taking music as a starting point, Jeyasingh collaborates with beatbox artist, Shlomo, in the remixing of an early Steve Reich work. (30 mins, 7 on stage, 11 on the road.)
The athletic dancers bring a fierce dynamism to this work, vividly portraying the turbulent tensions amongst British Asian youth today. (30 mins, 8 on stage, 12 on the road.)
Our current love affair with all things culinary gets a unique spin in this full-length dance piece. (55 mins, 6 on stage, 10 on the road.)
FUTURE PRODUCTION
Jeyasingh will create a new work (title tbc) that will be available in spring/autumn 2011.
WRAP-AROUND
The company has a strong and highly reputed education and learning programme with accomplished company dancers delivering a range of workshops, technique classes and residencies, as well as pre- and post-show talks and lecture-demonstrations. Activities can be tailored to work with a variety of participants, ranging from school-aged children to audience members of all ages.
