CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Rambert Dance Company usually performs a triple bill of work. The company’s repertoire is ever-changing but current pieces include:
by Siobhan Davies. A popular and endearing work by one of Britain’s most accomplished choreographers, it has been re-invigorated for the 21st century and is set to Saint-Saens’ beautiful and melodic music. (30 mins approx, 8 on stage.)
by Mark Baldwin. Created to commemorate Charles Darwin Year, this new work is enhanced by a vivid original score from composer Julian Anderson, and design from some of the very best contemporary artists. (25 mins approx, 7 on stage.)
by Christopher Bruce. A light-hearted and raucous musical celebration of life by this icon of British choreography; critically acclaimed in America and set to music by Bobby McFerrin and Yo-Yo Ma. (30 mins approx, 6 on stage.)
by Itzik Galili. The chequerboard stage of , by one of Israel’s most talented choreographers, is filled with irresistible samba-inspired lines and curves, featuring a large cast and amazing percussive score. (30 mins approx, up to 28 on stage.)
by Henri Oguike. Musically sophisticated, intellectually adventurous and highly entertaining, this new work by Henri Oguike uses light and Schubert’s Death and the Maiden to take us from one illusion into another. (30 mins approx, 10 on stage.)
