ARTISTIC POLICY
Quarantine is a group of artists who have worked together since 1991. The company invent a form that’s tailored to each piece – from intimate encounters to epic events – that negotiates the boundaries between real life and theatre. Created with both skilled professionals and people who have never performed before, Quarantine’s work is totally human yet intellectually rigorous in examining the nature of performance and raising questions about what makes theatre seem real and reality so strongly theatrical.
REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘Quarantine is quite simply a marvel, a company that's right at the forefront of British theatre.’ The Guardian
‘A unique and delightful form of theatre that sits right on the cutting-edge of debate about what we mean by performance.’ The Scotsman ()
‘This production is so creatively original, so technically assured, and so successfully unlike anything in this reviewer's experience that it merits a five-star rating.’ The Irish Times ()
