ARTISTIC POLICY
Working with extraordinary stories from voices on the political periphery, Julie McNamara has a knack for saying the un-sayable. All productions are disability-led, startling imaginative leaps with experimental theatre and moving images.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Fifteen, pregnant, Shelley’s on the run. Sheltering on a ferryboat, she finds herself aboard The Zong, a ghost ship with a murderous past. Strange encounters test everything she holds dear. (Strong language with sexually explicit content, age 14+, 65 mins no interval, 4 on stage, 6 on the road.)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Partnership with Feast Festival, Australia. Julie McNamara with Rachel High from No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability exploring sexuality and attachment to order. (50 mins, no interval, strong language, 2 on stage, 2 on the road.)

WRAP-AROUND
Post performance discussions with all age groups. Question and Answer sessions with the cast of each production.
Masterclasses with students devising work in disability-led or integrated/mixed ability groups.
Masterclasses for disabled theatre practitioners – exploring work with integrated sign language and audio description – putting aesthetics before access.
