Internationally-renowned IOU asserts the importance of the imagination and curiosity through a distinctive combination of performance and visual arts, which encompasses site-specific events, touring theatre productions, installations, and exhibitions staged in a variety of venues.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
A sound and music installation for outdoor spaces, with a series of sonic presentations and investigations bringing together musicians, scientists, makers, meteorologists and composers. (8 on the road.)
A sound installation for gardens and parks; a reflection upon the in-between time of twilight, beginning as the clock chimes the hour with a sequence of 60 hushed exchanges, timed to the divisions of the clock. (3 people to install.)
FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
A visual arts and theatre experience drawing on Artistic Director David Wheeler’s experience as Artist in Residence on The British Antarctica Scientific Survey. Placed across a city centre in both indoor and outdoor locations and using performance, live, specially composed music and visual arts installation, Polarity explores a sense of where we exist in time and place.
A visual arts and performance installation for unusual spaces with a series of mechanical sculptures operated by characters. Audiences encounter rooms under pressure from time, natural forces and extreme temperatures. (12 on the road.)
WRAP-AROUND
Workshops (making devised theatre, touring devised theatre, managing a theatre company, strategic planning for combined art), pre-/post-performance discussions, residencies, masterclasses, talks, lecture demonstrations, seminars.
