ARTISTIC POLICY
Foursight creates vital and surprising theatre inspired by the lives and passions of women; every show bears the imprint of all those who made it. Over the last 22 years, Foursight has gained an exceptional reputation for creating unusual, uncompromising, and multi-disciplinary work, which reviews history through the eyes of women: unknown, famous, and infamous. Foursight is committed to creating both devised and text-based theatre that places the actor at the centre of the process, combining word, movement, and music.

REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘Sharp, critical, imaginative, intelligent... and extremely funny.’ BBC Front Row ()

‘This beautifully crafted piece is a real credit to West Midlands theatre.’ Birmingham Post ()

‘The theatricality of this company is staggering.’ Vancouver Georgia Straight

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
The Story of the Cooperative Correspondence Club. A brand new adaptation of Jenna Bailey’s book: a moving, funny, true story of 20th century women whose entire lives became intimately connected through letter-writing for a secret magazine. (90 mins, no interval, 6 on stage, 8 on the road.)

A new touring promenade site-specific show that celebrates the culturally diverse world of the corner shop – an aspect of urban life taken for granted at our peril. (70 mins, no interval, 7 on stage, 10 on road, fits into a 20m x 10m space.)

An irreverent romp through the life and times of Margaret Thatcher. Drawing on the traditions of West End musical, stand-up, and the grotesque, nine Thatchers lead an all-singing, all-dancing bonanza hosted by the Iron Lady herself… (130 mins including 20 mins interval, 10 on stage, 13 on the road.)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Five lost souls recount their woeful stories of debt and despair, singing and playing their way through this absurd, anarchic comedic co-production with Talking Birds. Inspired by the current financial crisis. (90 mins, 5 on stage, 8 on the road.)

A timeless and haunting tale of changelings and disappearing children. A brand new bilingual production in partnership with Portugal's Teatro Montemurro. (90 mins, 6 on stage, 8 on the road.)

WRAP-AROUND
Workshops in physical theatre and devising processes, after-show talks, and lectures can all be provided by arrangement. The company has considerable teaching experience in many higher education institutions in Britain and Canada.
