ARTISTIC POLICY
Currently based in the rural town of Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Dudendance work locally and internationally, combining live performance with film-making. Dudendance’s work defies singular interpretation existing within an ever-evolving narrative, whereby characters re-emerge in later work. Very often performance is transposed into film – shifting from the rehearsal studio onto location. The starting point remains physical, devised, often collaborations with international artists as well as groups of non-professionals.
REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘Riveting meticulously detailed morphing… thrillingly well done.’ Mary Brennan, The Herald ()
‘Other-worldly dreamscape which tangles itself into the brain forever.’ Jennie McGaffie, Hi-Arts ()
‘Rous gives a tough, visceral performance that does not yield to easy explanations, but then neither does the condition of mankind.’ Scotsman ()
