ARTISTIC POLICY
Architects of Air aim to bring a highly accessible, visual wonder into the everyday environment. Inside their ephemeral yet monumental structures the visitor encounters the beauty of light and colour in a unique form.
REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘A sanctuary of the senses in the middle of Valencia, Levity II was an unprecedented success with both media and the 12,000 visitors.’ Marivi Martin, Director, VEO Festival
‘It glows like stained glass, a phenomenon of radiant light and colour, such as you experience in a cathedral, providing the same kind of stimulation or peace.’ The Independent
CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
An engineering triumph that maximises the space inside without increasing the size of the site. An intriguing and beautiful journey of exploration. (1000m2.)
Labyrinthine tunnels and spacious domes inspired by the beauty of geometry and Islamic architecture – a sensual world of liquid light and colour. (1000m2.)
Inspired by the Iranian bazaar – disorientating passages and mosque-like domes. Features a startling ‘Tri-Dome’ structure whose seams are meshed neon-like strips of bright light. (800 m2.)
FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Due for premiere in Barcelona, February 2010, it will feature an extensive exploration of the use of illuminated seams. (800m2.)
