ARTISTIC POLICY
Anjali Dance Company is a pioneering professional company that exists to realise and celebrate through dance the potential of people with learning disabilities. The company is committed to changing global thinking about who can dance, and demonstrating new artistic possibilities by creating original dance works of excellence performed by dancers with learning disabilities and by providing education and outreach programmes that employ and develop the skills of people with learning disabilities.

REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘Anjali promotes an exciting new precedent for disabled dance, one that is about visibility, confidence and glamour.’ The Guardian

‘The ambitious triple-bill WYSIWYG showed off the six closely-attuned dancers’ discipline, confidence, versatility and innate verve.’ Dance Europe

‘Vincent and Howard have looked at what each dancer is capable of and blended these abilities into a piece that is atmospheric, touching and, at times, beautiful.’ Oxford Times

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
A visually engaging collection of intimate dance pieces, imagined and choreographed by the dancer, fused together by passion, purpose, and a theme of dreams and desires. (40 mins, can be combined with Genius to make a full-length show, 6 on stage, 11 on the road, suitable for all ages although intended for 12+ and adults.)

In a secret eugenic laboratory, a minimum wage menial causes havoc with a misplaced plug. Observe through the lens of Anjali's microscope the resulting cocktail of humour, glamour and insolence, spiced with a drop of insanity. (25 mins, can be combined with Unexploded Stories to make a full-length show, 6 on stage, 11 on the road, suitable for 12+ and adults.)

FUTURE PRODUCTION
A new production in development will be ready to premiere in October 2010. A major new full-length work featuring a collaboration between Anjali, an internationally known choreographer and artists with backgrounds in physical theatre. (45 mins, will be combined with Genius to make a full-length show with one interval, 6 on stage, 11 on the road.)

WRAP-AROUND
