I am sending you a chapter of my book as I would like to know whether you will arrange for it to be published for me.

We do not review unpublished books. If you would like an assessment of your work there are organisations you can send it to for professional evaluation but they do charge for the service.

Adventures in Fiction is a writer led organisation offering mentoring and manuscript appraisal to writers at all levels. They specialise in commercial and literary fiction, memoir and autobiography, with a particular emphasis on structural analysis and creative realisation. For published writers they can offer a hands-on, experienced and discerning editorial overview, for emerging writers, a more practical step-by-step approach.

Firefly Media provide consultancy on any aspect of non-fiction writing and the publishing process including how to organise your ideas, write a publishing proposal and approach agents or publishers with the best possible chance of success.

The Literary Agent also provides this service for a fee

We do not publish fiction/drama so you need to send your manuscript to a suitable publisher. British literary publishers are listed in the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook (published annually by A. & C. Black) with an indication of the type of books that they publish.

I have just written a novel and would like a grant to help me get it published

We do not have any funds to help with publishing costs. You need to contact publishers to see if they are interested in your novel and if they are then you should not need to pay to have your novel published. British literary publishers are listed in the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook (published annually by A & C Black) with an indication of the type of books that they publish.
