Forward Motion

Leading British Screen Dance   

Forward Motion is a project co-produced by the British Council and South East Dance, and supported by Arts Council England.

Forward Motion is a brand new collection of outstanding British screen dance works which is available for global screenings and events as a package of DVDs and resources.

Expertly curated into distinct programmes in which leading artists introduce historic, seminal and groundbreaking films, Forward Motion creates a moving snapshot of Britain’s prolific screen dance industry. The collection is supported by a promoters’ pack containing extensive technical and marketing guidance, an education pack and a website with information resources and film trailers.

The British Council and South East Dance have worked with an expert steering group to design the package and curate the films. The panel includes:

Forward Motion launches in late 2008 and is available for bookings from 2009.
