About Luciano
Luciano is 20 years old and lives in the city of Buenos Aires. He is studying Environmental Science.
About his project
The United Nations Model for Climate Change offers secondary school students a unique experience where they can become real protagonists. Students will work in groups and each group will represent a country in a simulation of the international forum on climate change. Students will receive training on general (academic) aspects of climate change, discussion protocols and how to search for information. They will have to study and understand the country situation and take on the ideological position of the country the are representing. These young people will start debates, negotiations and will exchange ideas at different levels.
Following this experience, students will have revised the scientific evidence, economic situation and political outlooks of each country and they will have gained environmental awareness at a more profound level acquiring negotiation skills necessary for their future working life.
