Six for Summer!

Six suggestions from the British Council on how to stay on top of your English during the summer holidays

Sporting Nations; Footprints
Sun, sea and Sporting Nations…
Our travelling exhibition, celebrating over 200 years of shared sporting history between Argentina and the UK, goes to its final destination, Mar del Plata, where it will remain for the summer. From the Hand of God to the Pumas beating world champions England in London, this is a great chance to relive some of those unforgettable moments. For young learners of English, we have also produced a set of worksheets and quizzes themed on the exhibition, freely downloadable from our website. If you can’t make it to Mar del Plata this summer, don’t despair as the exhibition is also available online!

Sporting Nations; Living Sport
Also part of the bicentenary project is Sporting Nations; Living Sport, a stunning collection of images resulting from an exchange programme between Argentine and British photographers, each of whom spent 10 days in the others country, learning about a new culture and sharing their passion for sport. Visit this exhibition and enjoy an artistic take on sport that will leave you contemplating a different angle on the UK and Argentina. Check our website to find out where you can see the exhibition. This exhibition is also available online.
