Completing the British Council Deposit Slip
In order to assist us in identifying your payment, it is important that you use the correct test code on the Deposit Slip. These test codes are only to be used for the deposit slips.The test code should then be followed by your Surname, then First Name.
Example: Payment for IELTS in August for Ignatius Tembo

The deposit slip will not be accepted by Barclays without this information.
You need to submit your completed application, deposit slip and payment to Barclays. The British Council will collect your application form directly from Barclays.
We can help you prepare for your test in two ways:
1. Please click on the 'prepare for your test' link to the left to find information about ‘Road to IELTS’ - an exclusive online offer to British Council candidates.Please note: If you do not have the correct identity information you will not be able to take the test. Make sure you arrive on time so that you have enough time to settle before the start of the test.
Results certificates are posted by registered mail 13 days after the main test date.
Unfortunately results cannot be given over the phone, by fax or e-mail, and we are only allowed to give ONE certificate to each student. Candidates can however request to pick up their results in person instead of receiving them by post. This request can be made on the date of the test and we will ask you to add your name to our collection list and please bring along your ID.
