The British Council story is one of constant evolution.

Each year we bring the very latest ideas and thinking from the UK to South Africa through various projects. We work with talented young leaders, professionals and partners from both countries, showcasing creativity and sharing expertise to develop successful partnerships.

Currently we work in partnership with a range of South African institutions, organisations, venues and festivals to develop an annual series of events – performances, exhibitions, workshops, scholarships, exams, English, seminars, screenings - connecting South Africans to the UK.

For more information about our services and programmes, please browse through the list below or contact us via the links to the left.

Exams

We administer a wide range of English language, school, professional and university exams including IELTS, ACCA, CIPS and more. Find out more here.
