Vacancy - Regional Business Unit Manager

Civil Society Support Programme – first call for proposals now closed

Exams   

Last year, the British Council worldwide helped 2 million people sit professional and academic exams from the UK. In Ethiopia, we administer a wide range of exams including IELTS, CIE, CIPS and more. Find out more here.

English   

Global English: We supports teachers and learners of English as well as policy makers in the area of language education via events, research, online courses, seminars and digital resources.   
PEP: The Ethiopian Peacekeeping English Project (PEP) aims to raise the language levels of Ethiopian defence force personnel so that they can effectively participate in United Nations and African Union Peace Support Missions.   

Education & Society   

Connecting Classrooms: our school partnership programme that promotes intercultural dialogue through three-way partnerships between schools in Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK. The project aims to share new ways of teaching and learning methodologies so that stereotypes and assumptions about each other are challenged, diversity is valued and creativity is fostered.    
Premier Skills: a football partnership programme defined by the Premier League in collaboration with the British Council that aims at developing coaching, teaching and English Language skills among local community coaches.   
Professional development: we offer a range of professional development opportunities through resources, training, international examinations and networking opportunities for organizations and individuals seeking to improve their managerial, leadership and personal skills in order to achieve better work results.
