Culture and Development is a new area of work for the British Council and in many ways is still in its infancy. This programme focuses on working with partners to deliver arts and culture projects which directly benefit the country in which we are working (eg Sudan or Nigeria).
The British Council will be further developing its programme in Culture and Development over the next 12 months which will engage with a variety of different countries across Africa. Activity already confirmed includes the development of an international music festival with various partners in North Sudan.
